Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller recently had the opportunity to drive a tank. Yes, a tank.
“USAA offered Von Miller a chance to be a Tank Commander for a day to gain a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of some of our military service members,” according to a press release from USAA and Whistle Sports.
“Released as part of Whistle Sports ‘I Can Do That’ series, watch as Von Miller experiences first-hand the power and precision of military weaponry.”
“Football and the U.S. Military has a whole lot of parallels,” Miller says in the video. “That brotherhood in that locker room, fighting together for one common goal.
“The difference is, when we lose, we go home and we have bad attitudes. When they lose, somebody’s getting hurt or somebody’s losing somebody. It’s different, but it has a whole lot of parallels that keeps everybody focused.
Miller, 30, has totaled 98 sacks since entering the NFL in 2011.
