Watch: Brilliant old footage of Larne's last senior trophy success

It's hard to beat a bit of football nostalgia.

And if Larne need any added inspiration going into tonight's ToalsBet.com Co Antrim Shield final, they might find it here.

The Invermen's last senior trophy success was way back in 1987 when Paul Malone's side beat Coleraine in the final of the Ulster Cup.

After going behind to Ricky Wade's opener, Larne equalised through Paul Hardy's header and then a Paul Quigley own goal sealed their win.

It has been 33 years of hurt since then for the Invermen.

They did win the Championship title in 2019, but the wait for a senior cup win runs on.

Will it end tonight at Seaview when they meet Glentoran in the Shield final?

Check out the UTV footage from their 1987 win, presented by Kate Smith with Jackie Fullerton on commentary.
