John Hughes couldn't go without seeing his daughter's dog - and embarked on an epic trek in his government-approved daily exercise to visit.
The manager known as 'Yogi' cycled an incredible 25 miles in terrible weather just to visit the pooch at his daughter's Edinburgh home.
In the video posted by his daughter on Twitter, Hughes plays around with the excitable pup who even gives the former Hibs and Inverness manager a kiss goodbye.
His family watched from inside as coronavirus social-distancing measures meant he will have not been allowed into the house.
Hughes has been manager at a number of clubs in Scotland and England including Falkirk and Inverness where he came third in the Premiership and lifted the Scottish Cup in 2105.
