Michigan State Spartans football is in training camp mode and that means the content train has left the station. We have plenty of interviews from players and coaches to check out, starting with this one featuring three Spartan seniors: Brian Lewerke, Mike Panasiuk, and David Dowell.
Starting quarterback Brian Lewerke talked about capitalizing on his last year at MSU and also spoke on his injury issues during last season, confirming what we all knew: he was playing in a lot of pain.
“Even during the season, I was like, man, this is tough, can’t throw a ball, can’t raise your arms over your shoulders.”
Michigan State’s bearded, veteran defensive lineman Mike Panasiuk was extremely optimistic about the season, citing all the veterans coming back this year:
“We’re not done yet.”
David Dowell probably had the best quote of the clip, though. He was talking about how he thinks the defense could be great this year, and then it seemed like he was asked if he has confidence in the offense to win games:
“We always have confidence in our offense. We’re not a split team, we’re one team: Michigan State.”
