The 49ers defense is going to make a lot of quarterbacks look awful this year. To be fair, the Panthers offensive line didn’t help. That said, Kyle Allen’s performance on Sunday left much to be desired.
Carolina’s backup quarterback came into this week undefeated, but his limitations were on full display. Accuracy was a major problem for Allen in this game. The bigger issue though was his poise – specifically, Allen was far too hesitant to let the ball go too many times, which led to several of San Francisco’s seven sacks.
