WATCH: Brett Favre stirs up Instagram with a post on his apparent return to the NFL

Brett Favre is not coming out of retirement for a second time.

The 49-year-old former NFL quarterback said that his Instagram account was hacked, resulting in Tuesday’s post that he planned to play in the 2020 NFL season.

If Favre did return, he’d become the oldest player to QB in the league, but he says that’s not happening. Favre infamously retired, then un-retired in 2008 and was traded from the Green Bay Packers despite wanting to extend his 16 years with the team.

Favre did ultimately retire in 2010 with the Minnesota Vikings. The Green Bay great will return to Wisconsin this weekend for a golf tournament where he’ll play nine holes as part of a celebrity foursome.
