WATCH: Brandon Aiyuk shows off hands with series of crazy catches

49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk made it clear during his rookie campaign that he was on track to become the team’s No. 1 wide receiver after they traded up six spots to No. 25 to select him in Round 1 of the 2021 draft. Despite missing four games, Aiyuk showed off a varying skill set that could make him a perennial Pro Bowler at his position.

A video surfaced online of one of Aiyuk’s offseason workouts that could add another layer of expectations for him going into his second season. A video posted by @joshwa.porter on Instagram showed Aiyuk making a series of incredible catches:

Aiyuk in his rookie year made plays in every level of the passing game on his way to 60 receptions, 748 yards and five touchdowns in only 12 games.

The buzz about him as a true No. 1 receiver alongside Deebo Samuel was already growing. If he sees an uptick in production while sprinkling in some in-game receptions like the ones in this video, he could quickly climb into the national conversation as one of the NFL’s top pass catchers.
