After shooting up the peaceful Oxfordshire countryside, the Brad Pitt tank movie Fury is nearing completion, and to celebrate the producers have released the first trailer.
So what sort of film is it? Lots of shots of tanks - across the skyline, ploughing through mud, guns pointing forward, tell is this movie is about tanks. We also know we are "killing Germans in Germany" - so this must be the invasion of Germany at the end of the war.
Then Pitt says: "I've been with these fine gentlemen for years." Ohh, now we get it. It's a buddy movie, like Training Day and End of Watch, the two films that flash up prominently as the film director's previous credits. So this is going to be about guys going through hell together, but learning and bonding though death is all around.
"I won't ask you to do anything I haven't done myself,: growls Pitt at Shia LaBoeuf. That may or may not include washing.
