Watch boy's rendition of Grace on RTE's Late Late Toy Show which gave the nation goosebumps

A young boy's rendition of Grace left some viewers of The Late Late Toy Show in tears.

Denis Moroney sang the cherished Irish song - written in 1985 - on RTE One on Friday night.

After he sang, host Ryan Tubridy embraced an emotional Denis, whose parents were honeymooning in New York - "seven years late," he joked.

Before leaving him go, Tubs declared: "For tonight, we're all your mum and dad."

Toy Show fans flocked to social media after the performance, to praise the telanted singer.

One person said: "Ya gotta love the kid on the Toy Show singing "Grace". It would melt your feckin heart and makes ya so proud of where you're from."

A second Twitter user posted: "Aw here I'm an emotional wreck after they started playing Grace on the Late Late Toy Show as I just walked in the door. That was my grandad's song."

A third added: "Never thought I'd ever see a 1916 song performed on the Late Late Toy Show. And a great rendition of Grace at that."

Another said: "Wow. What a beautiful rendition of Grace by that young man on the Toy Show."

A fifth said: "Grace being banged out on The Late Late Toy Show, you love to see it."
