MANILA, Philippines – What are Bob Newby and Mews from Stranger Things season two up to now? According to a short clip on Netflix Philippines’ YouTube channel, it looks like they’re resting – er, rewatching in peace.
In the video above, released on National Pet Day on April 11, Bob (Sean Astin) and Mews are together in the afterlife, binge-watching Stranger Things, and recovering from the trauma of being eaten alive by Demo-Dogs.
The two find comfort and strength in each other: “If you can do it, so can I,” Bob tells Mews, before they watch him die on TV.
Mews, sympathetic, gives Bob a gentle pat on the hand with his paw.
In the Netflix Original, Bob was Joyce Byers’ (Winona Ryder) well-meaning boyfriend, while Mews was the beloved cat of Claudia Henderson (Catherine Curtin), Dustin’s (Gaten Matarazzo) mom.
