There were crazy scenes at Krispy Kreme in Blanchardstown this afternoon as dozens of cars queued up to get their hands on some tasty treats.
The doughnut makers opened their drive through for the first time in weeks and cars were soon snaking all around the car park full of hungry customers waiting for their sugary fix.
The drive through opened at 11am this morning o provide hot drinks and doughnuts for healthcare workers and members of An Garda Siochana and the Dublin Fire Brigade.
The frontline service will serve as an introduction before the store reopens to the public for drive through, collection, and takeaway orders from next Monday, May 25.
Essential workers will also be able to avail of 50% discounts after the full reopening.
There were similar scenes across the city as six McDonald's outlets opened their drive throughs this morning.

A sea of vehicles descended onto the car park area and flooded the main road with numbers only expected to get higher as the day goes on.
