Watch bizarre NFL scenes as Antonio Brown throws shirt and walks off mid game before being released

NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown has been released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - after taking off his shirt and walking out of the stadium in a bizarre outburst.

The matchup between Bucs and the New York Jets was in the third quarter when Brown was seen on the sideline taking off hit kit.

Brown removed his padded shirt and baselayer, flinging various items into the crowd in some of the wildest scenes ever witnessed in American football.

Brown then walked away from his team-mates and set off down the sideline, waving to the Big Apple crowd in the process.

And with both teams on the field, Brown headed across the playing surface and straight down the tunnel.

Fan footage on Twitter and elsewhere on social media saw bemused fans giving Brown, 33, some stick at his impromptu exit.

And head coach Bruce Arians - who led the Bucs to the Super Bowl title last season with quarterback Tom Brady - admitted Brown is no longer a Bucs player.

He said: "I'm not talking about him. He's no longer part of the Bucs."
