New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick made some headlines earlier in the week for having some eyebrow-raising praise for Washington Redskins quarterbacks.
That’s just Belichick.
In a video series for the team, he’s since had praise for guys like rookie wideout Terry McLaurin and edge rusher Montez Sweat. He also singled out Vernon Davis’ touchdown as one of the best plays he’s seen all year.
While Belichick isn’t giving anything away in the video below, the attention to detail and sheer respect he shows for an opponent — even the 0-4 Redskins with a coach on the hot seat — helps explain why he’s as respected as he is, not to mention the success side of things.
