Years from now, we may look back on the 2019-20 NBA season as the point in Boston Celtics shooting guard Jaylen Brown’s career where he unlocked one of the most important parts of his game.
For much of his rookie contract, the Georgia native would use his otherworldly athleticism and strength to muscle his way to the cup — but often found himself without an outlet amongst the trees as a result.
Brown soon began to raise eyebrows early in the 2019-20 Celtics campaign, however, in the best way.
He began to demonstrate a much tighter handle that would help him speed up and slow down and draw contact near the basket — or find an open shooter when one presented themselves.
