Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has said the “very aggressive” actions of Vladimir Putin underlined the need for an increased defence budget.
On a visit to Appledore, Devon, he told reporters: “I’m the Defence Secretary, of course I believe that defence budgets should continue to grow and be invested in.
“It’s incredibly important. We live in a much more insecure and anxious world than I can remember in my lifetime.
