Watch: Behind-the-scenes look at Cooper Kupp’s rehab, workouts

Cooper Kupp is a huge part of the Los Angeles Rams offense, so when he went down with a torn ACL last November, his absence was felt. Jared Goff wasn’t nearly as good on third down and the offense wasn’t as consistent, showing just how crucial Kupp’s availability is.

He’s well on his way to fully recovering from his devastating knee injury, appearing to be on track for Week 1 of the regular season. At OTAs and minicamp, Kupp went through individual drills and even got on the field for some half-speed team sessions.

Everything about his rehab has seemingly gone well and while it’s difficult to say he’s ahead of schedule, being 100 percent by September would be an impressive feat. That won’t come without hard work, of course, which Kupp has been putting in plenty of.

In video feature for Whistle, fans can get a behind-the-scenes look at Kupp’s rehab and the workouts he’s going through each and every day.

Rams rehabilitation director Byron Cunningham discussed Kupp’s long road from his knee injury, which involved learning how to walk, run and play football again.

“This is a guy who couldn’t lift his leg off the table,” Cunningham said. “We had to teach him how to walk again. We had to teach him how to run again. And we also had to teach him how to play football again.”

Kupp isn’t fully back yet, but he’s well on his way to being ready for the season opener against the Panthers.
