Running back Ryan Nall is making his case to stick on the Chicago Bears’ 53-man roster.
With the Bears staring down first-and-30 after a pair of penalties, Nall picked up a first down — and more — breaking free for a 69-yard gain. The run set up the Bears at the Indianapolis 21-yard line.
Believe it or not, this was the second 69-yard run Nall has picked up in his preseason career.
Nall appeared to score a few plays later on a 4-yard touchdown run, but the score was negated by a holding call on tight end Ian Bunting.
The run ultimately set up a 21-yard field goal by Eddy Pineiro, which brought the Bears to within a touchdown late in the second quarter.
