The Chicago Bears have kicked off training camp at Halas Hall. But unlike seasons past, training camp won’t be open to fans due this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So we’re going to have to settle for the limited snippets we get from the Bears or media allowed at practices later on in camp.
The Bears’ Twitter account shared a quick video from early, unpadded practices at training camp. Some notable faces were featured in the clip, including quarterbacks Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles, as well as rookies tight end Cole Kmet and cornerback Jaylon Johnson. Wide receiver Anthony Miller and linebacker Roquan Smith were on the field at Halas Hall for the first time since having offseason surgery.
All Bears players were seen wearing protective face coverings during practice.
Bears rookies, quarterbacks and players coming off injury are a couple of days ahead of other returning veterans, which is why faces like Miller and Smith are featured while guys like receiver Allen Robinson and linebacker Khalil Mack are not.
Sure, 16 seconds isn’t much to go off of. But considering that it’s the first video glimpse of the Bears at training camp, we’ll take it.
