By now, being an Ohio State fan, you know that a certain word is synonymous with being a part of the university. THE in front of Ohio State is something that isn’t to be taken lightly in Central Ohio. In fact, the university’s trademark office even tried to trademark the word for use on a clothing line using the most used word in the English language.
We’re not sure how that’s going, but we don’t like the chances of that one getting through.
Either way, what is a sense of pride by some Buckeye fans can be seen as a pompous and arrogant for opposing fans. One Cincinnati fan site decided to do something about it and traveled up to Columbus to begin taping across all signs it could find with “the” across Ohio State’s campus. And they did it with Cincinnati Bearcat tape and captured it on video for all to see.
That’s right. Barstool Cincinnati traveled through campus, threw some insults Ohio State’s way and then documented themselves leaving Bearcat reminders anywhere they could.
Get a look yourself at the video yourself in the below. I say it’s all in good fun, but I’m sure it will get the pulse racing for certain Ohio State fans. It’s really the antithesis of taping across all the M’s during Michigan week.
Cincinnati fans seem to be feeling a little optimistic about there chances Saturday based on what we’re seeing here. Now, let’s see if their football team can back it up in the ‘Shoe this weekend.
