Watch: Atlanta Legends coach says Michael Vick will not serve as offensive coordinator

Michael Vick is arguably the biggest name that the Alliance of American Football has going for it heading into its inaugural season. Apparently, the former Falcons quarterback won’t have as large a role as was originally reported. Vick was to serve as the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Legends team, but that’s not going to happen.

Head coach Kevin Coyle said Vick is still going to stay with the team as a consultant, but will not actually be calling the plays. It sounds like Coyle believes Vick’s television commitments kept him from putting in enough time to run the offense. Watch:

The league has eight teams and will kick off a 10-week season beginning Saturday night on CBS. Some games will be broadcast on NFL Network.
