An incredibly rare albino squirrel has been visiting gardens in Uddingston.
The white squirrel has been spotted in gardens in and around Old Mill Road since September and can still be seen now.
An albino squirrel is so rare the chance of spotting one is just one in 100,000, with around only 50 of them living in the UK.
The squirrel was first spotted in and around the area in September.
Caira Weinberg, who spotted the rare little creature, told Lanarkshire Live: "My neighbour Gerry called my son, Patrick and I over as we walked home from school one day.
"We were stopped in our tracks by this beautiful white squirrel. It ran quickly across the road and up one of his trees.
"It was a joy to see! Patrick then researched albino squirrels and we were astounded to realise they were so rare.
"A week later I saw it again in the trees at Croftbank Nursing Home. I hope it’s entertaining the residents with its frolics.

"Imagine my surprise when I opened my blind last week to see it playing in our garden. I had been worried having not seen it for a few weeks that it had succumbed to a predator. We feel so lucky to resident albino squirrel living right on our street in Uddingston."
