Watch as the Red Hot Chilli Pipers perform stirring rendition of Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers have recorded themselves performing a stirring version of Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved.

The hugely popular group, who call themselves "the most famous bagpipe band on the planet", are known for their fantastic cover versions – and this one certainly doesn't disappoint.

Capaldi's track topped the UK charts earlier this year, and the cover version was organised to mark the release of his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent which came out at the weekend.

Since the Chilli Pipers posted it to their Facebook it has pulled in more than 2,500 shares with many people commenting their approval.

Edinburgh Live reported at the weekend how a number events were taking place on Saturday to mark Lewis CapalDay.

Frankie and Benny's in Livingston were giving out free calamari as a nod to Capaldi's Twitter handle while one farmer in England shared a picture of a bizarre look-a-like cow.
