Watch as Shayne Lavery terrorises Manchester City defence to win penalty

It looks like Shayne Lavery is settling into life across the water.

The former Linfield striker was in action for Blackpool on Tuesday as the Championship side took on Manchester City in a pre-season friendly.

Premier League champions City ran out comfortable 4-1 winners, but not before Lavery produced a bit of brilliance to help draw the sides level.

The 22-year-old Northern Ireland international - who scored 30 goals for Linfield last season - showed brilliant skill and blistering pace to surge past Ruben Dias, only for the flat-footed City defender to bring him down inside the area.

The referee pointed to the spot, and Luke Barbutt stepped up to convert from the spot and draw the sides level at the Academy Stadium in Manchester.

City went on to seal their win through second half goals from Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan (2).

Blackpool kick-off their Championship season this Saturday against Bristol City.
