Watch as Shayne Lavery scores cheeky back-heel goal in Linfield romp

They say a striker needs to be cool in front of goal.

Well, on Tuesday night Shayne Lavery proved to be the ice man at Windsor Park.

The young forward bagged a hat-trick against Warrenpoint Town as the Blues romped to a 7-0 win in South Belfast .

Joel Cooper also grabbed three goals and Stephen Fallon also got on the scoresheet as David Healy's champions moved to within two points of league leaders Coleraine and Crusaders - and with two games in hand.

Lavery made an instant impression with Blues fans with his superb solo goal against Qarabag in the Europa League qualifiers during the summer.

And he was at it again ]on Tuesday, scoring a cheeky goal against basement club Warrenpoint.

After being played in by Bastien Hery, Lavery was challenged by visiting goalkeeper Berratt Turker.

And as the ball broke free, and with his back to goal, Lavery nonchalantly back-heeled it into the empty net.
