This is the moment a pod of dolphins suddenly appeared around sailing kids and teens at an East Lothian beach.
A fellow member of East Lothian's Yacht Club was filming younger members practicing their sailing when the pod appeared from the water - much to the delight of everyone.
The incredible creatures can be seen coming up to within metres of the sailing dinghies, with one onlooker saying "I think they just love the boats".
'That's just the coolest thing', said another as the youth sailors can be heard in the background exclaiming 'wow' and 'oh my god' as the dolphins circled their topper boats.
Fortunately the dolphins appeared at the right time and the sailors were able to capture the incredible scenes on camera and from the audio on the video you can tell just how surprised the group were to be joined by the pod of friendly dolphins.
The Brand Family of East Fortune Farm shared the footage on Instagram with the caption: "That’s Ritchie completed his Youth Sailing Scheme level 1 & 2 and what an amazing week he had especially when a pod of dolphins decided to come over and play, one diving under Ritchie’s topper. Highly recommend this course @eastlothianyachtclub to any young person keen to learn the sport."
