A hilarious video of a cute pug’s birthday party has gone viral - notching up 168,000 views in a few hours.
Garry John Urie shot the video of his two pugs Buddy and Bear having a celebratory cake to mark Buddy’s third birthday. Garry and partner Kelly McDonald were filmed in knots as jealous pup Bear goes mad and tries to nick his brother’s doggy cake.
Ex-squaddie Garry already has the social media Midas touch. He previously shot a video in Australia of a bemused seagull eating hot sauce - which netted more than 1.4 million views.
Garry John, 35, from Glasgow, said: “It was such a laugh. Wee Bear was so desperate to get his bit of cake. I have been blown away by the response. Every time I looked at the post, the shares and likes had doubled.
“It has been amazing. What can I say - everything I film I touch turns to gold.”
Kelly, owner of the Cosmetic Lounge, said: “Garry John just filmed it for a giggle. We never thought it was going to be so popular. Now people can see how much of a laugh we get with these two rascals.”
Ex-soldier Garry hit the headlines two years before that when he launched a Facebook campaign to find a lost love - while he served in Afghanistan.
Former corporal Garry met a mystery girl while on a break from duties in Helmand two years ago but a combination of boozing and a poor sense of direction while on Ibiza meant he lost contact with her.
Garry never traced his holiday girl but he has now found a new love, left the Army and has toured Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia and Australia.
