Here is the moment a passerby branded RTE "f***ing w*****s" on a live broadcast.
The incident happened on the Six One News on RTE One tonight.
It came as the national broadcaster reported on a shooting incident in Co Wexford this morning.
Journalist Dimitri O'Donnell was broadcasting from Gorey after a number of shots were fired at garda officers who attempted to stop a car in the town at around 8.30am on Wednesday.
However viewers were quick to notice an unexpected foul-mouthed outburst during his piece to camera outside the garda station.
Despite the tirade, the reporter managed to keep his cool and deliver the remainder of his report without a hitch.
