Watch as multiple planes struggle to land at Dublin Airport during Storm Jorge

This video shows the reality for pilots attempting to land at Dublin Airport during the worst of Storm Jorge.

An orange weather warning was in place for Saturday as high winds and heavy rain battered the country.

Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports all had pilots attempting to land in the height of the wind with some taking more than one try and others diverting completely.

The video by Youtube uploader 'M' shows 17 minutes of planes attempting to land in Dublin as the winds took hold.

Notable points of the video

- First go around 02:57 KL935(PH-EZP) from Amsterdam(EHAM) landed on its second attempt

- Second and third go around 10:03/11:34 BA838(G-EUPW) from London Heathrow(EGLL) after two missed approaches it returned to London Heathrow

- Fourth go around 12:24 EI525(EI-DEH) from Paris(LFPG) after two missed approaches it diverted to Manchester(EGCC)

- Fifth Go Around 13:47 FR8995(EI-DCI) from Munich(EDDM) after a missed approach and a long hold it diverted to Liverpool(EGGP)

Cork Airport also saw huge issues with flights as planes struggled to touch down on time due to the difficult conditions.

After circling the coast of Cork for almost an hour an Aer Lingus flight from Munich found a spell calm enough to land safely around lunchtime.

A Ryanair flight from Stansted had problems about an hour later and had to divert all the way to Kerry Airport.

A Ryanair flight from Lanzarote (FR9944) went to Cork Airport soon after before Aer Lingus flight EI823 from Paris - Charles De Gaulle touched down in Cork after over an hour circling the coast.
