Watch as moped thug boots and punches police car in shock attack

Shocking footage has revealed a thug on a moped attacking a police car in a busy city centre.

In the video, the rider kicks and punches the vehicle before the officer flees the scene while being chased by the assailant.

According to Hull Live , it appears as if there is just one officer in the car during the incident on the city's Ferensway.

They fail to take action as the attacker circles the marked car and boots its bonnet before repeatedly punching the passenger side window.

As the light turns green, the driver then speeds off followed by the attacker who proceeds to do a wheelie while giving chase.

Police have said that three teenagers were arrested over the incident.

The video, titled "Police effectiveness", was posted on YouTube by the "Lock it or lose it" gang, who brag about stealing motorbikes from across Hull on social media.

The video was posted on Friday, April 19.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Peach said: "We are aware of footage circulating on social media which shows part of an incident where a person on a moped caused damage to a police car and threatened the PCSOs inside.

"The PCSO in the car called for back-up as they were unable to pursue the rider safely at that time. A patrol car quickly arrived along with the NPAS helicopter to offer support.

"Three teenage boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been arrested in connection with this incident.

"They have been released under investigation whilst investigations continue.

"This behaviour is totally unacceptable and we have teams continuously working hard to seize bikes that are being ridden illegally and bring offenders to justice through the force's Operation Yellowfin.

"I want to take this opportunity to warn those people that choose to ride motorcycles anti-socially or illegally that we will not stand for it. We will find you and we will take action against you."
