Watch as locals use jet skis to travel down flooded road in Co Tipperary

Here is the moment locals used jet skis to travel down a road in Co Tipperary after heavy rainfall left the area completely flooded.

The footage was filmed near the town of Carrigahorig in the north of the county.

Three men can be seen on the vehicles at a junction on the N65 shortly before the entrance to the townland.

A tractor also struggles to find a way through the deep water in the bizarre scene.

Kerry GAA legend Tomas O Se shared the stunning video on Twitter on Sunday.

Ireland has been battered by several storms over the first few weeks in 2020, the most recent of which was Storm Jorge which brought high winds and heavy rainfall across the entire country.

And as a result of the rainfall the Tipperary area has been heavily hit by high levels on the Lough Derg, which has forced several roads in the region to close.

But experts have warned there is no end in sight to the wet weather, as Met Eireann predict further rainfall next week.

More showers are expected across the whole country on Tuesday in particular, with a very unsettled weekend also in store.
