A HUGE number of eager customers have descended on Uniqlo's first-ever Glasgow store after it officially opened its doors this morning (Thursday, October 2).
This is the popular Japanese fashion brand's second store in Scotland after making its first foray into the country last year.
The Glasgow store is located at 135-153 Argyle Street in the heart of the city centre.
Customers were showered with a number of gifts, with the first 100 attendees spending £60 or more at the shop receiving a free Uniqlo goodie bag. This offer will also be available to patrons on Saturday, October 4.
Massive queues on Argyle Street as Uniqlo opens its first-ever Glasgow store
With so many Glasgow shoppers desperate to get a first look at the Uniqlo store, a massive line could be seen stretching all the way down Argyle Street, one of the city's most important shopping thoroughfares.
Before the store officially opened, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a performance from taiko drummers.
The store's new managers were also introduced and given the honour of cutting the ribbons themselves.
When the doors finally opened at 9am, eager Glaswegians could be seen quickly filing into the commercial space.

The opening times for the shop are as follows:
- Thursday: 09:00am - 7:00pm
- Friday: 09:00am - 7:00pm
- Saturday: 09:00am - 7:00pm
- Sunday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
- Monday: 09:00am - 7:00pm
- Tuesday: 09:00am - 7:00pm
- Wednesday: 09:00am - 7:00pm

With the opening of the new Glasgow location this morning, there are two Uniqlo locations in the whole of Scotland.
The other location is situated on Princes Street in the heart of Edinburgh.
Uniqlo opened its first UK store in 2001 and has since expanded to boast some 20 stores across the country.
