Watch as gunshots ring out on Glasgow streets during high octane scenes for Borderland

Glasgow's streets have once become a hive of movie activity over the past few weeks as scenes are shot for Sky Original revenge-filled action thriller Borderland.

Starring the likes of Mark Strong, Felicity Jones, Aml Ameen and Colin Morgan, the 1970's-set flick has seen Scotland's biggest city transformed into London, complete with vintage cars, telephone boxes and street signs.

Last week we reported on explosive scenes that saw production crews recreate an IRA bombing on Bridge Street, with footage showing rubble exploding from an upper window of a building as extras ran for cover below.

That followed a hilarious incident which saw a Tennent's Lager lorry unexpectedly disrupt filming of some high-octane scenes involving replica weapons on West Campbell Street.

Now one lucky resident living near Kelvingrove Park was able to capture some more thrilling scenes being shot for the movie after being treated to a front row seat of the action during late-night filming from the comfort of their flat.

The footage, captured by Scott Crawford, shows Marc Strong's character, dressed in 70s attire, stroll along the street before Colin Morgan's character steps out a car and guns him down.

Filming of the scene saw four gun shots ring out as Morgan fires the replica gun before getting back into the vehicle and speeding off.

The plot sees retired Irish paramilitary (Morgan) witness the fatal shooting of his pregnant wife by an SAS officer (Ameen). After outwitting the SAS, a wounded and presumed dead Morgan escapes, taking his revenge to the dark and paranoid streets of 1970’s London.

Borderland will be available on Sky Cinema in 2022.
