Watch as Guilt camera crews descend on Leith street to film scenes for BBC drama

Film crews descended on Leith to shoot scenes for the second series of BBC crime drama Guilt on Friday afternoon.

Dozens of crew members were seen hard at work near the junction between The Shore and Tolbooth Wynd around 2pm. They appeared to be using Cafe Truva, and the pavement just outside, for filming with workers going in and out of the building.

In addition to Tolbooth Wynd, filming has also been taking place at New Kirkgate and St Anthony's Place in Leith.

Technical vehicles, or vans belonging to production, have been allowed to park on Cables Wynd and Parliament Street.

Edinburgh Live reported earlier this week how filming would take place throughout Friday on various streets in and around Leith. Things got underway at around 10.30am this morning and crews are expected to remain in the area until around 8.30pm.

The production company say crews will be following government guidelines at all times during the shoot.

Guilt will star big names such as Mark Bonnar and Jamie Sives. The first season of the show, which came out in 2019, won a Bafta award.

The story centres around two brothers who accidentally run over and kill an elderly man on an Edinburgh road, and decide to try and cover up the crime.
