Watch as Glaswegians fall for classic pound coin super glue prank

Life can get a little dull in lockdown and sometimes the simplest things will keep us amused.

And one Glaswegian found a little bit of light relief by turning the clock back to an absolute classic prank many of us will all know, concerning a pound coin, a pavement and a tube of super glue.

After ensuring the quid was well stuck to the Dennistoun street, Colin William retreated to a safe distance, occupying a lookout post on his veranda, just waiting for some unsuspecting neigbours to fall into the trap.

It didn't take long. After a bit of hesitation from a couple of eastenders, one of them decided to make the move to boost their bank balance with the hallowed coin, trying to dislodge it with a stick, only to be met with shrieks of laughter from Colin across the street.

Colin, who had the prank bring a smile to his household on Easter Monday said: "Lockdown week 3 - just super glued a quid to the pavement outside sitting on the veranda with a bottle. Howling now!"

The old ones are the best indeed - we wouldn't be surprised to see more of this across Glasgow in the coming weeks, so maybe think twice before you pick up that shiny penny!
