Watch as Glasgow schoolgirl hoovers on segway in innovative way to help with housework

At the best of times, household chores can be a bit of a drag.

While it might be easy to let the housework slide a little at the moment - sadly, we're not going to be having many visitors any time soon - it's important to keep on top of that to-do list.

Of course, with kids unable to go to school amid the current lockdown, we're sure many parents will be asking for an extra pair of hands around the home, as youngsters look for something to do when they are done their lessons for the day.

And thanks to her brilliant ingenuity, Glasgow High schoolgirl Emma managed to help her mum with a bit of cleaning, while finding a unorthodox source of entertainment.

The video sent to Glasgow Live by Emma's grandfather, who runs the fantastic Made In Scotland account on Twitter, shows the youngster hoovering the kitchen floor while delicately balancing on a segway - quite a skill - and having a good laugh and a giggle in the process.

Speaking about the video, which you can view by pressing play in the video player above, Emma's mum told us: "Emma is very creative around the house with both her brother and wee sister and loves a challenge - as you can see in the video helping with the vacuuming of the kitchen floor!".

Well done to Emma for coming up with a fun way to pass the time, while helping your parents keep on top of the housework!

Would this encourage your kids' to muck in with the chores? Let us know in the comments!
