Watch as George Ezra has thousands singing at M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool

BRIT award-winning star George Ezra returned to Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena last night and the show was bigger and better than ever.

The singer, whose new album 'Gold Rush Kid' was released in June, kicked off his UK tour in Liverpool last night. Those who turned up at the arena were treated to a phenomenal show - thanks to one man, who knew just how to get the people of Liverpool up on their feet within seconds.

From the first song, every member of the audience was hanging on his every word. Some musicians must have a rare quality to make an arena gig feel intimate, and let me tell you - George Ezra's got it.

George had everyone immediately enraptured with 'Anyone For You', moving seamlessly between songs we've known for years and his newer material that's just as catchy. Throughout the show, he regaled us with tales from his travels, including trips to Barcelona and St Lucia.

Bringing a sense of intimacy to an enormous gig would be a feat for anyone else, but not George Ezra. He took the time to discuss where he was mentally and physically at the time of writing his latest album 'Gold Rush Kid' between songs.

Giving the audience this time made it feel like you could be sitting together having a cup of coffee. He performed another new song, 'Sweetest Human Being', accompanied by just a pianist. The song stunned the audience into silence, with its beautiful melody and peaceful lyrics.

While each and every song was incredible, the atmosphere that came over the crowd as 'Shotgun' began is impossible to describe. It was the biggest moment of the night and it was the final song of the evening - the one we'd all been waiting for.

With the crowd singing along to every word and dancing away as the show came to a close. The crowd was enthralled as they sang - and screamed - the lyrics back to him. Clearly enjoying himself too, George danced along with fans and his incredible band, who kept the crowd dancing and clapping along throughout the set.

It was a night full of magic, laughter, dancing and some phenomenal music. The atmosphere was electric and I wish I could do it all over again tonight.
