Watch as dramatic flash flooding hits Leeds and leaves roads almost impassable

Heavy rain has lead to flash flooding in parts of Leeds today, leaving motorists struggling to get through on waterlogged roads.

Forecasters have warned of two days of rain from today and Sunday across all of Yorkshire.

Indeed, rain had hit Leeds hard overnight and throughout the morning on Saturday, with the Met Office warning that more is on the way.

Heavy rain, showers and isolated thunderstorms may cause some flooding and transport disruption, the forecaster says.

There have been numerous reports of flash floods throughout the city this afternoon.

In some areas, the floods are so bad that vehicles are avoiding the area.

This video shows an overflown drain leaving a large flooded area in Chapel Allerton.

One man said a number of cars had turned around after seeing the flood.
