Watch as Dolphins coach Brian Flores is presented game ball for win vs. Jets

It’s been a long time coming. When Stephen Ross made the chance atop his organization this past January, the direction of the Dolphins’ organization shifted drastically. For the first time in a long time, the Dolphins were in an open state of rebuild. And that meant lesser expectations on the field in 2019 — to the point where we wondered if the Dolphins would find a victory on the gridiron this season at all.

Put those worries to rest — because Brian Flores and company got the job done against the rival New York Jets and former Dolphins coach Adam Gase, 26-18. And while the New York Jets fume and stew over another embarrassing loss, the weight has been lifted off the shoulders of many Miami Dolphins, including Flores. Owner Stephen Ross presented Flores with the game ball to mark his first career win after the game:

“This didn’t just happen. Alright, we all know that. You guys have been working your ass off for weeks. We talked about it. We’ve been getting closer and closer and closer and closer. People tried to tear us apart and we didn’t let it happen. We stuck together. And that’s why we got the win today.”

Flores gave the Dolphins players a ‘Victory Monday’ — standard procedure in NFL circles after celebrating a win. We don’t know about you, but watching Flores speak to his Dolphins after the game has us ready to lace ’em up and go run through a brick wall!

Miami’s coaches will move on to focus on building a game plan around the Indianapolis Colts today — Miami will be on the road next weekend to challenge a Colts team who narrowly dropped a contest against the Pittburgh Steelers yesterday afternoon.
