The Shiba Inu breed has often found itself at the centre of memes, but Aiko the dog never realised that teasing this cat would turn her into an internet sensation.
A video of the pup being pushed off a chair by her feline sibling has been watched over 350,000 times since it was uploaded.
Shared by American journalist, Jeff Yang, his Shiba Inu, Aiko, can be seen hopping onto a chair to reach the tabby sitting on the desk, The Express reports.
As the canine attempts to nip the feline's leg, the cat pushes Aiko back with its paw, causing the dog to fall back and slip off the seat.
Despite the chair hitting off a glass door, the dog appears to be unhurt, leaving the cat sitting victoriously above.
The nine-second clip was uploaded to Jeff's Twitter account on July 30.
Captioned "not my dog's best moment", the short clip has been watched over 350,000 times and liked more than 23,000 times.
Jeff responded to the viral hit by replying to his post, saying: "There is this moment where Aiko looks wildly around and has a sudden revelation in her furry brain about the laws of physics that's absolutely classic."
Followers of Jeff left tones of comments saying how they found the video "hilarious" after watching both the dog and cat's reactions.
Journalist Aisha Sultan commented: "Karma is a cat."
Korean-American writer Euny Hong simply put: "LMAO. Signed, a cat lover."
Dan Nguyen typed: "Cat showed more concern than expected."
