Dame Helen Mirren believes wearing 'an extravagant dress' is not a reason to get married.
But the Calendar Girls star, who is perhaps one of the most recognisable Hollywood actresses in the world, said she understands the desire.
Speaking to Xposé's Cassie Stokes at the Cannes Film Festival, she said: "Definitely don't get married because you want to wear the dress, of course I'm privileged and lucky because I get to wear beautiful dresses that have been made for me, in costume, all the time - so I do understand the desire I really do."
Helen was last week pictured with an incredible new look walking down the red carpet at Cannes.
Appearing at the premiere for The Best Years of a Life on Saturday evening at the film festival Helen ditched her usual white locks for something more dramatic.
Helen's glam team clearly went with a theme as she also sported bubblegum pink eyeshadow and lipstick.
It's not the first time the face of L'Oreal has gone for the gentle hue after first trying out the dye back in 2013.
