Watch as car skids down Blythswood Street in 'Glasgow budget version' of Tokyo Drift

A video showing a black car skidding on an icy city centre street has been dubbed "Glasgow drift" as a budget version of Tokyo Drift.

The video, taken by Glasgow Live reader Connor Brown, shows a car embarking on Blythswood Street across from the Premier Inn, which looks to have only been partially salted.

The road is totally white, as lockdown has dramatically reduced traffic in the city centre.

The car then dramatically skids from left to right as it drives down the street - known as drifting.

Connor said that he heard the racket and went out to investigate - only to see what looked like a scene from Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift.

The car straightens by the end of the road and moves on.

There is no legal definition of drifting, but drivers who do so could be charged with dangerous driving - so don't try this at home.

A number of drivers have been experiencing driving issues in the city centre as lockdown has dramatically reduced the amount of drivers in the city.

We reported earlier after videos emerged of a Tesla slid down the same street - Blythswood Street - before crashing into another car.

Storm Darcy, dubbed the ''Beast from the East 2", has triggered travel chaos for Scots.

Heavy snow has brought the country to a standstill with numerous accidents reported across Scotland.
