This is the 'horrendous' moment a brazen thief steals a pricey computer from a Scots shop before casually walking away.
The mask-clad crook's bold robbery was caught on camera as he made off with the silver Acer PC at the ReplayIt store in Musselburgh.
Wearing a baseball cap and boots, the man is seen looking at the piece of tech which is on the ground outside a display case.
He squats down to get level with the computer before seemingly making sure it is unsecured at the back.
Scanning both ways with the machine in his hands, the man stands up and quickly walks out of the shop.
Shop manager Adeel Malik told the Record of the 'shocking' heist which came as the outlet was still recovering from the shock of closing during the Covid pandemic.
He said: "He came in with a face mask on so it is obviously hard to recognise him and if he had been in the shop before.
"I am going to report this to the police.
"This is shocking for us, it had been very hard to run the business with the coronavirus pandemic that has just happened and we have not long been open.
"It is a horrendous thing to happen."
Taking to social media, shop bosses have urged anyone with any information to come forward.
A Facebook post read: "Our team has an urgent announcement,
"On Monday (21/06/21) at 5PM there was an incident involving a man stealing an All-in-one Acer PC (silver)
"If anyone one has information regarding this please send us a confidential DM or call Crimestroppers Scotland on 0800 555111."
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said the they could not find a trace of the incident being reported yet.
