Watch as Belfast folks of all ages can't resist a go at hopscotch

A North Belfast woman said watching people play hopscotch beneath her balcony is helping to 'put the days in isolation in'.

Sonya Janty Hughes and her neighbour Gemma Horner asked some local kids to draw the game out on the footpath below their windows to see what people would do.

And is seems no one can resist a go as they pass.

People of all ages have had a go and they have the CCTV to prove it.

Sonya told Belfast Live: "My neighbours' kids drew one further on up so I told them to draw one under the cameras to see who we can catch.

"Now people are doing it out on their walk."

The videos show men, women and children are equally keen to have a go as they pass.

But the hopscotch on the Shore Road at the bottom on Skegoniell Avenue has also brought neighbours together as they keep a watch for people throwing caution to the wind and hopping from one to 10.

Sonya added: "It has definitely got our wee row involved because I can't keep watch for people coming all day so people are mailing me telling me what time they did it at.

"Ones have stopped on their way to and from work.

"We are having so much fun catching people doing it especially when they don't realise they have been videoed and do a wee fist bump in the air."
