Watch as band entertains Edinburgh Waverley passengers with Deacon Blue cover

Catching a train at Edinburgh Waverley can often be stressful, but a band helped to cheer people up by taking advantage of the piano in the station's hall.

The Jordan Murray Band played a cover of Deacon Blue's Dignity on the band, entertaining passengers on Monday.

The piano has been placed opposite the ticket office for talented musicians to delight those waiting to board trains.

Jordan, who was joined on stage for an impromptu duet with Lewis Capaldi, picked an uplifting Scottish song following the national team's bitterly disappointing Euro 2020 match.

He soon found a few Deacon Blue fans who appreciated the music.

Jordan said: "We did a cover of Deacon Blue's 'Dignity' on the back of the Scotland loss last night and there was a few fans in the station who we seemed to cheer up at least."

In August, Waverley was brought to a standstill by a flashmob performance of Bohemian Rhapsody, which also made use of the piano.
