It took three weeks to piece together but this masterpiece by an award-winning brass band was well worth the wait.
John Carpenter's troops at Drogheda Brass Band in Co Louth have pulled off an exquisite version of ELO's Mr Blue Sky, each one playing their parts from their own homes.
Their majestic performance is set against the backdrop of stunning drone footage of the town and still photos by brothers and band members Anthony and Brian Murphy who play the euphonium and trombone respectively.
With band practice and concerts on the long finger during the coronavirus crisis, musical director John sent the backing track to the players, who had to record their own individual parts and send them back.
He then began the painstaking task of knitting them together - and the band's stunning version of Electric Light Orchestra's 1978 monster hit was born.
John told IrishMirror.ie: "It took a little bit more time but it ended up sounding great.
"From when we sent it out for people to play and doing the video and audio editing, it took about three weeks.
"It was tough but really enjoyable. It's a testament to how well they play.
"This is one of the many things we are doing to keep people busy.
"The views of the video are in the thousands, that's just locally, and the numbers will still be going up and creating a bit of a buzz."
The clip also features the President and longest serving member of the band, Tony Collins, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday.
