WATCH: Arik Armstead sets career-high in sacks

Arik Armstead is finally breaking out in his fifth NFL season. He’s had a monster year, and continued his productivity Sunday in Washington.

After Jimmy Garoppolo tossed an interception, the 49ers’ defense went to work and stopped Washington thanks to a third-down sack from Armstead. It was No. 3.5 on the season for him – a new career high.

He’s benefitted a lot from getting healthy and playing alongside DeForest Buckner, Dee Ford and Nick Bosa.
