WATCH: Arch-climbing fans forced down, interrupting Raptors parade

A handful of Toronto Raptors fans were willing to risk it all — as in, their lives — at Monday’s championship parade. Check out these photos of people climbing the Freedom Arches at Nathan Phillips Square in the heart of Toronto, all for the chance to get a clear view of the parade.

Those fans caused the city of Toronto to halt the parade until they got back down on the ground. After all, a fall from the arches would hurt not only themselves but also the fans gathered below the structure.

Toronto officials estimated 1.6-2 million fans in attendance for the franchise’s first-ever championship parade.
