April the giraffe baby watch is on!
The Animal Adventure Park’s famous giraffe in Harpursville, New York is ready to birth another calf at any time and tens of thousands all over the world are tuned into her live YouTube feed round the clock.
The park is keeping April’s fans updated through social media. Park owner Jordan Patch announced in a March 6 Facebook post that it could be “hours, a day or so, perhaps” but the birth was “imminent.”
Still waiting and watching. But we have a lot of company. As of 1:30 p.m. on Monday, 64,400 people were watching April on YouTube’s live feed.
Last time April was about to give birth, she sparked a worldwide frenzy. April’s stream received more than 232 million live views, which added up to 7.6 billion minutes of live watch-time, according to Google.
April’s current pregnancy is her fifth, her second since arriving at Animal Adventure Park in 2015. April gave birth in April 2017 to a male calf named Tajiri.

By Sunday night, viewers were watching April jump on camera, and again, that was all a sign that the world’s favorite giraffe was preparing to give birth as her calf applies pressure and kicks, said the most recent Facebook post.
