Watch Ange Postecoglou's Celtic press conference in full as he names transfer criteria further signings MUST fit

Ange Postecoglou says he's on the lookout for versatile stars to pad out his Celtic squad in the weeks ahead. But the boss says he won't force anything before the window closes, and is satisfied he's filled all the "gaps" in his squad.

The Hoops have had a busy summer with last season's loanees Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Daizen Maeda all tied down, while Benji Siegrist, Alexandro Bernabei, Moritz Jenz and Aaron Mooy all add depth to the group. Recently they've been linked with Marseille's Bamba Dieng and Barcelona winger Alex Collado - although the latter appears set to join Elche instead.

Postecoglou is content with his squad as it stands but has frequently refused to rule out further business. And he says he's still on the lookout for another new arrival or two - provided they fit his specific criteria. He said: "Squad depth is the key for us this year in terms of our recruiting. We did a lot of business last year to build a strong foundation. Signing Cameron and Jota was probably the key part of our transfer policy, because we felt they would improve us this year.

"After that it was about filling the gaps that I thought existed last year where we got stretched as a group. Our strategy has been to strengthen the squad in those areas and I think we've done that for the most part.

"There might be one or two areas (that still need work), but I think more important than specific positions is just the right fit, another player who can play a couple of positions, help us through our schedule, and contribute at a couple of different levels.

"That's what we're looking for. The main gaps have been filled so now it's just about if the right kind of player comes along, who isn't just a short-term but a long-term fit, we'll move for them."
