Andrew Luck’s time on the sidelines will continue for another week, Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich said Tuesday. Reich expects Luck to continue to rehab an ankle injury at least until Monday, Aug. 26.
According to The Athletic, the issue is a matter of “full speed movement vs. pain threshold.”
Luck’s calf strain turned into a high ankle issue, Reich explained. Monday will give the team 13 days to prepare ahead of its Sept. 8 season-opener on the road versus the Chargers.
The 29-year-old not practice in OTAs in May as the team first saw the impact of the now-nagging injury on its starter. Jacoby Brissett is the quarterback with the first string in practice in Luck.
